Our Objective

KATRU was established with the following key objectives:
  • To research, develop and commercialise unique mechanical technologies for producing energy from clean, renewable sources such as solar, wind and waves.
  • To develop devices to conserve energy
Current Status

The full scale prototype of the IMPLUXTM Wind Power Turbine has been undergoing field trials since January 2014. The extremely promising results gathered thus far prove the concept of the IMPLUX system. The final trials have now concluded.  

IMPLUXTM is undergoing national phase patenting in several jurisdictions. Patents have already been awarded for this invention in US, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Israel, Singapore, South Africa, Philippines, Mexico, Canada, Egypt and pending award in a number of jurisdictions: EU, India, Brazil, Argentina, UAE and Hong Kong. 

Expressions of Interest for potential sites to participate in pre-production unit deployment are currently being sought. Commercial units will be available in 2015.
