Objective:

Katru was established in 2004 with the following key objectives;

• To pursue the development of unique technologies for energy production from renewable energy sources
• To research and develop mechanical devices to produce energy from the sun, wind, waves and tidal flow
• To develop devices to conserve energy.

Immediate goal:

To bring to the market place, a new and patented device to generate electrical power from wind. Through significantly increased power extraction efficiencies, this device will aim to create and serve a niche market, exhibiting a clear and competitive edge over all current technologies for this purpose.

Current Status:

The IMPLUX^TM Wind Power Turbine is undergoing national phase patenting in several jurisdictions. Patents have already been awarded for this invention in the USA, China, Australia, Israel, Singapore, South Africa, Mexico and are being processed for award in EU, India, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, etc.

A full scale proof-of-concept prototype has recently been constructed in Singapore and is to be field tested on a typical high rise apartment block.
